It took decades of struggle, rivers of blood, and countless sacrifices to win our freedom 🇮🇳🚨

‘South India, Stepmotherly Treatment’

There are a few more issues I couldn’t cover. I understand that many of these challenges are deeply interconnected and complex. But my intent is to acknowledge the real issues, understand them, and work toward improving them.
On this 78th Independence Day, as we honour our past, we must also face the truths that will shape our future.
Let us not stay silent about the real issues. Ignoring them won’t unite us. Only by acknowledging, addressing, and hearing them out can we truly come together!
Before reading further, please note, this isn't to criticise anyone. Leave political affiliations aside & read with an open mind.
‘Wealth Inequality’
The combined wealth of the richest 100 Indians is greater than the total wealth of 60 crore Indians. The wealthiest 1% now control a staggering 40% of the nation’s wealth, while 50% of Indians own just 13% of it.
This is one of the biggest challenges and is also among the top five risks identified by the World Economic Forum’s Executive Opinion Survey 2024.
Addressing this in a vast country like ours is still a significant question. We need to find a way to bridge India’s economic inequality by making the poor richer without making the rich poorer.
‘Unemployment & Indian Education System’
Did you know that two-thirds of India’s unemployed youth are educated? If education can’t secure you a job, is it even worth it? Where are we heading?
It's time to review our education system and the skills we're imparting to future generations. With lakhs of graduates entering the job market each year, many with similar skills, this is a complex problem but one that demands immediate attention. It may be the most crucial challenge facing our country today!
In my opinion, addressing unemployment needs a multifaceted approach. We should revamp our education system, support entrepreneurship, and invest in manufacturing and infrastructure. Additionally, focusing on rural employment and agri-tech innovations, along with leveraging the digital economy, could drive significant job creation and growth.
‘Tax Terrorism & Unhappy Middle Class’
The middle class now feels that paying taxes in India is like making a charity donation, you pay & expect nothing in return. On average, a salaried middle class person works for at least four months each year just to pay taxes.
In India, many middle-class families are only one hospitalization away from financial ruin.
Until the govt starts respecting and valuing tax payers, listening to their concerns, and addressing their needs, the situation is only going to get worse.
The older generations might not have understood careers in music, content creation, sports, cinema, or games, but if we still don’t, then the blame is on us. In 30 years from now, you’ll wake up to a world where you’re matched with opportunities for your unique skills. It’s time to change our mindset.
Consider why many poor Indians go abroad to earn ₹25,000-30,000 a month doing manual labor when they could earn the same here. It’s because we lack dignity of labor. This mindset must change.
No job is too big or too small. While we may be accustomed to traditional career paths, it’s time we recognize and value all types of work.
Over 17,000 millionaires with total assets greater than $ 1 million left India in the just last three years. Imagine what happens if the trend continues to grow for the next 10 years?
Instead of addressing the root problem, we are just creating a barrier for them to now leave the country. But we need to pause & understand, will it solve the actual problem?
The population share of southern states has dropped from 26.2% in 1951 to 19.8% in 2022, due to effective population control measures. However, this success is now costing South India.
From the 15th Finance Commission to state-wise distribution and the upcoming delimitation, South India is losing out. Despite being a major contributor, it often feels marginalized & unheard.
History always tells us that, Prolonged discrimination will lead to unrest & revolt. This issue needs immediate acknowledgment for the greater good of the country.
Despite the hurdles, we remain a great nation. India is where ancient wisdom embraces modern aspirations, a land where unity thrives in diversity. From the peaks of the Himalayas to the shores of our oceans, the spirit of freedom fuels every endeavor. Jai Hind 🇮🇳✊
Well explained. Thanks for the information.
